This product of the pharmaceutical company Sopharma is a medicinal product in the form of tablets, used to relieve stress and tension, to calm the overexcited nervous system and to facilitate sleep in sleep disorders. Valerian is a drug from the group of sedatives and hypnotics, suitable for nervous tension and sleep disorders associated with these conditions. It is recommended for use as an adjunct in cardiac neurosis (palpitations, stab wounds in the heart area) and functional arrhythmias, in menopausal and functional disorders of the central nervous system.

Ingredients:
Valerianae siccum extract 30 mg. Avicel pH 101, lactose, collidone VA64, aerosil 200, talc and magnesium stearate were used as excipients.
Usage
Unless otherwise prescribed for adults and children over 12 years. should take 1-2 tablets of Valerian 3 to 4 times a day. The tablets are taken after a meal, not chewed, with enough liquid. In case of sleep disturbance, a single dose is taken up to one hour before bedtime.

Side effects:
Side effects are very rare when Valerian is used in therapeutic doses. There have been isolated reports of gastrointestinal disorders. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
When not to take:
Valerian should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
It should not be used in children under 12 years of age because there is insufficient evidence of the safety and effectiveness of Valerian at this age.
Special precautions:
Avoid concomitant use with alcohol.
The product contains castor oil and colorant E110. There may be cases of intolerance to the specific aroma of valerian.
Which drugs affect the action of valerian?
To date, no adverse drug interactions are known, but concomitant use of Valerian with alcohol may increase their effect. Possible interactions with sedatives have not been studied.
What should be provided during pregnancy and lactation.
No adverse effects on pregnancy and lactation have been reported, but due to lack of data, use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.

May impair the ability to drive and use machines. Affected patients should not drive or use machines.
Overdose
What should you do if you have taken the wrong amount of Valerian?
To date, isolated cases of overdose have been reported after a dose exceeding 20 times the maximum therapeutic dose. In case of Valerian overdose, the following manifestations may be observed: fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, drowsiness, trembling hands, dilated pupils. In these cases, it is necessary to immediately stop taking valerian and consult your doctor. Symptomatic agents may be required.
